Fado House

Bairro Alto

Located in one of the most typical neighbourhoods of the city – Bairro Alto – A Severa is famous for the authenticity and quality of its food and for its good Fado.

In a cosy candlelight atmosphere, you can enjoy a memorable evening to the sound of Fado and the taste of pure traditional Portuguese gastronomy.

Fado represents for the Portuguese people an art of expressing a melancholic or joyful state of soul. Given its cultural value, Fado was considered Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2011, with Lisbon being the capital of this cultural movement.
